Background colour of hovered and selected menu items, and of icon backgrounds

I want to change the bright orange colour of any selected menu item — `Panels' in the screenshot above. I also the slightly paler orange colour it has when I hover on it.

I also want to change the orange background colour of the 1st, 3rd and 5th icons on the bottom toolbar.

The orange used in DOpus 13 just doesn't agree with me, I'm afraid.

I have searched the manual, and the Forum, but I can't work out how to do it. How do I achieve these things?

Make sure Preferences / Colors and Fonts / Directory Opus Colors / Use legacy Office-style toolbars is turned off.

Thanks, John. Now that you have shown me where the setting is, I have actually changed the Base Colour to something less startling (and I will watch to see if that has mucked up anything else).

For anyone following this thread, I was slow and found the setting tricky to find. Its full path is:
Preferences / Colors and Fonts / Directory Opus Colors / Toolbars / Office-style / Use legacy Office-style toolbars

just use "Office" in search field))

I have this issue, I want to change the highlight color of the toolbar items and the background color of the drop-down menu also located on the toolbar. The problem is that, I can only change highlight color if I have the "Use legacy Office-style toolbars" turned on, and I can only change the drop-down menu background if the "Use legacy Office-style toolbars" is turned off. If on, the background color is black.

Can someone help me on this?

If it's off you can change it via Preferences / Colors and Fonts / Windows Colors / [Visual Styles] Toolbars.

Oh! Thank you sooo much, Leo! I had been there before but overlooked it because the colors were transparent.
