Before exit the program, it looks like

After close and re-open the program, the window looks like

Problem: the icon in circles should be minus "-", instead of a plus sign "+".

By the way, I am using Chinese version 10.2 x86 in Windows XP sp3 OS.

Have you turned off Preferences / Folder Tree / Options: Automatically expand to current folder?

Or have you selected the No content population option below that?

The "Automatically expand to content folder" option is turned on, and the radio button below it is "Populate contents for local devices".

I found one key setting that may produce this error, i.e. I turned on the "Shutdown Directory Opus when the last Lister closes" checkbox in the "Launching Opus - Startup" area.

After I turn it off, exit Opus, and then open it, everything looks OK now.

Oh, no. Not that reason.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Maybe the error is related to time.

If the filesystem takes too long to list the directories during startup, or when changing directories, then the tree will not fully expand them, and will just put in the directories needed to reach the point you are currently at.

In that situation the tree branches are "partially expanded", where they are not collapsed (as they are showing some children) but also can be further expanded (as they are not showing all children). Windows Explorer does the same thing.
