Button for glob. copying/pasting email address

A global hotkey or button is needed for copying an email address from somewere (outside Opus) & to paste it
into any form or email client outside of Opus. I´m not sure if a global hotkey can do this or some Dopusrt.exe is needed.

I´ve tried very simple commands (as global hotkeys) like CLIPBOARD COPY &
CLIPBOARD PASTE, but the paste part doesn´t work. I´ve also tried
CLIPBOARD PASTE AS=name.

So the address is being copied from outside of Opus and then pasted to outside of Opus?

What part would/could Opus play in this?

This is a good question. I´m not sure, if he wants to copy it from anywhere. Maybe it´s rather, that the user
wants to have a button to fill in a certain address (without prior copying) outside of Opus, like some
scripting tools can do.

For example, my hotkey macro program can be used to either replace shortcut terms
into full length sentences (something like tyv -> thank you very much) or to paste some predefined
text blocks. So the user may want a button to use a keyboard shortcut to paste in given email addresses,
determined in his commands. So i have to correct question: how would Opus be able to paste some texts
into outer applications using a global hotkey?

Opus can set the clipboard or paste into itself (or into a directory) but it cannot paste into other applications.

If you want something like that try an automation tool like AutoIt or AutoHotkey.

Ok, thanks. I wasn´t sure, if it´s possible, but it makes sense. This is no typical file managers task. Myself i´m using either ac'tivaid or Hotkeyboard Pro for tasks like that. That´s how i usually paste the email address, per ac'tivaid.
