I read this post and I must have some setting conflicting. I check the box Calculate Folder Sizes Automatically for all local and network drives, apply and save and close and refresh and it calculates. But if I close the lister and reopen it and go to that setting the box is unticked.
I went to the override screen and set get sizes to automatic but it still doesn't stick.
Do you mean this setting isn't sticking?

From the description, it sounds like the first one, but that should stay on if you've turned it on, and would not be affected by opening a new lister.
The second setting comes from folder formats, and you'd need to save or update the format for it to be permanent. If you're editing it via Folder > Folder Options and then just clicking OK there then it's only a temporary change.
It's the first setting that unticks every time I close and reopen a lister.
Do you have any scripts installed (in Preferences / Toolbars / Scripts) ?
