Can I deselect all files in duplicate folder?

I am trying to sort a huge number of photos that have gotten out of control.

I'm using the duplicate tool which works well ..... however:

If I enable the delete mode, the folder shows some checked and some not. OK however because I have so many files I would like to use the delete mode then uncheck all files so I can go through by hand.

If I do not enable the delete mode the files are shown without the check box. Not now to select a number of individual files I have to CTRL-Click. However if I make a miss click or sneeze I loose the selections. This is why I wish to have the check boxes (above) and start with all unselected.

So you want the checkboxes of delete mode, but for them all to start out unchecked?

Use delete mode as normal to generate the results. Then, with nothing selected, use Edit > Select Other > Selection to Checkboxes to clear all the checkboxes.

Or just Folder > Check Box Mode to enable check box mode in general.
