Have 64-bit, Win 7 pro with SP1 and XYplorer 9.90.1100 (It is 32-bit, I believe).
I want to install the new DOpus 10, 64-bit, and I presume that I shall have to uninstall XYplorer 9.90 before installing version 10. XYplorer, version 9.90, is installed in the following location: E:\Program1(x86)\XYplorer. As a side note, I do not install anything on the C drive that isn't part of the operating system, unless it is forced on me by the software.
I would like to save my current version 9 configuration, and then apply it to the new version 10. According to the instructions by Leo in the FAQ, dated 07 Feb 2008, I can go to "Settings-Backup and Restore" to do this. The only "Settings" that I can find is in the File menu, and none of its submenu listings show a "backup and restore" item. I have clicked on the various "Save" and the "Backup Application Data Folder..." items, however most of them do not open to any other screen, and the one that does, sure isn't a wizard or anything like what is displayed in the FAQ.
Later in Leo's FAQ he says that the various configuration files are saved in /dopusdata and /dopusglobaldata. Please note that Leo's "/" forward slash is the opposite of the back slash ("") that Windows uses to show navigation to a specific location. Anyway, I have looked for and searched for both dopusdata and dopusglobaldata, but I haven't been able to locate them. In the FAQ, Leo references the "Location" field which I presume means the Address bar because I can't find anything about a Location field in Help or anywhere else, for that matter. I have tried both "/dopusdata" and "dopusdata" in the Address bar and in XYplorer's "Find Files", but none of those have worked, either.
According to Leo's instructions, I should be able to find /dopusdata and /dopusglobaldata in "C:\Users<Your Name>\AppData\Roaming\GPSoftware\Directory Opus". I do not find any folder for GPSoftware, Dopus, Directory Opus or XYplorer either in the "C:\Users<Your Name>\AppData\Roaming" directory-folder or in the "\Documents" directory-folder.
Any and all assistance to resolve this problem is welcomed. Thank you for your help.
