Is it possible to cancel thumbnail generation in Opus? I've noticed that sometimes when browsing folders with content type set to images and the folders contain very large video clips for example, that Opus seems to get bogged down with high CPU usage -- even after switching to another folder with no images or video clips in it.. It would be nice, when clicking into a folder with large video files or many images, and deciding that i don't need to see an thumbs or just want to click away into another folder, that i could press ESC or something and signal to Opus to stop thumbnail processing.
Opus should cancel the thumbnail thread if it's no longer needed. The problem is probably that a video codec is going crazy on a single file, and Opus has no way to tell it to stop (as far as I know).
Removing unnecessary video codecs and updating the remaining ones may improve things (or make them worse; video codes aren't the most stable, tested things in the world. ).
thanks Leo! that makes sense
