After installing Directory Opus 8, The Windows TaskBar could not be hidden. Is there any setting affecting it?

I'm currently running DOpus 8.2.2.0 and have no problems hiding the taskbar. I've been running various versions of DOpus for about a year now, and have never had any problems hiding the taskbar. I always have it hidden, I don't like the thing. 
Occasionally, the taskbar hiding effect will simply stop working, regardless of whether or not DOpus is installed or running. This is a Windows problem. Usually opening the task manager with ctrl-alt-del and killing "explorer.exe," then restarting "explorer.exe" with the "New Task" dialog in the task manager will fix the problem. Again, this is a Windows problem, not a DOpus problem.
Take a look at your taskbar settings, just to make sure that Auto-Hide is turned on. I've seen the option mysteriously turn itself off for no apparent reason. If all looks good there, try the process I outlined above. If that doesn't work, either, then there is probably a much deeper problem.
