trying to change the created date of a junction is not possible ?
by design ?
Can you do it in any other software? It’s likely something the OS is blocking, not Opus.
????? - do not know of any other software - tried explorer - not possible
to clarify :
Have my inbox ordered by creation date, but I have put junctions to some folders that are long term projects and would like them listed first.
also it does not seem possible to set a date more than a few hundred years ago. For instance a folder called Babylonia
could not have a date set 3900 years ago, even though in JScript the year date can be plus or minus 273,000 years around 1970 and
Time measurement in ECMAScript is analogous to time measurement in POSIX
In the proleptic Gregorian calendar, leap years are precisely those which are both divisible by 4 and either divisible by 400 or not divisible by 100.
The 400 year cycle of the proleptic Gregorian calendar contains 97 leap years. This yields an average of 365.2425 days per year, which is 31,556,952,000 milliseconds. Therefore, the maximum range a Number could represent exactly with millisecond precision is approximately -285,426 to 285,426 years relative to 1970. The smaller range supported by a time value as specified in this section is approximately -273,790 to 273,790 years relative to 1970.
Windows filesystems can't store a date earlier than January 1, 1601. I guess Microsoft didn't think there'd be any need for Windows in Babylonia.
FWIW, I could change the created date of a junction with Ctrl+B.
I had to enable the check box on the creation date line, but it did work (the Created column got updated). I created it today and set up the creation date afterwards to 2019.
That just toggles the status bar on my setup. Please elucidate.
Not on the pc for the next few hours. I think it's the default shortcut to bring the attributes change window (unless I changed that so long ago I don't remember).
I'll report back as soon as I can.
EDIT: I managed to check. It's mapped to SetAttr
command on my config. It opens a window where you can change some attributes and the create/modify dates.
Hopefully, DOpus 14 will find a workaround, for all the babylonians out there who want to manage their manuscripts
