Cannot customize the Applicataion toolbar

I am unable to edit or add to the application toolbar. I know that I added one item in the past, as it has my icon for NoteTab Pro there.

My application toolbar has a notation on the left "A sample toolbar using direct paths".

I have tried all the routes I know to edit or add, or change anything on this toolbar. And I cannot bring up the properties of any of the icons. This is definitely not the same toolbar that I worked with in the past.

I can bring up the Customize window, but this too gives me nothing to work with.

Apparently I am doing something wrong, but I cannot determine what.

So how do I make this toolbar editable?

Thanks -

OK, I think I see the path to editing finally. I missed the second window that came up when I ALT+LEFT CLICKED on an existing icon. Twp windopws opened, but one was not noticed at the top left of my screen.

But I'm still missing the path to add some new program icons.

Once you're in Customize mode, you can add new buttons to the toolbar by right-clicking the empty space and choosing New -> Button, or just drag and drop the tool you want direct to the toolbar to auto-create a button for it.

Thanks for the reply. I want to apologize for the posting of my second message 3 times. For some reason, when I clicked submit, the first time, nothing seemed to happen, so I clicked more times. Then I saw no way to remove the two duplicate posts. Is there a way for the poster to delete a post he/she created? Obviously it got deleted - probably by you, but I saw no way to do it.

Thanks again

Now that I have the application toolbarmore or less under control, there is still one feature that does not respond. I have checked the "show label" checkbox, and entered a label string, and selected "below" But no label appears. I tried other positions, but no label. I don't believe that I'm doing anything incorrectly here, but the label is not available.

Labels are probably forced off for the whole toolbar. To change that, go to the Customize window, on the Toolbars tab, and select the toolbar in question. On the right of the window the are some drop-down options, including one for Label which is probably set to "Off". Change it to either "On" (forces labels on for all buttons) or "Default" (makes it so labels are on/off according to the individual buttons).
