Can't Get dwg files to preview - have followed instructions

DO: Most current version
OS: Win 7, 64-Bit
Browser: IE8
Viewer: have tried both Bravia free viewer and AutoCAD True View
Have followed the instructions here: pretentiousname.com/activex/ ... ml#install

The issue is that after following the instructions on that page, if I navigate to a dwg file instead of being able to preview it, a download box pops up with the typical open/save/cancel dialog. If I click open it opens in Bravia or AutoCAD depending on which one I set as the viewer. But it never just allows me to preview it which is what I am after. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Autodesk seem to have moved their free viewer to this URL (the original URL now points to something else that cannot view DWG files by itself):

usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc ... eID=123112

Also, Autodesk's viewer no longer seems to work in Internet Explorer or Opus, at least under Windows 7 64-bit.

The Brava viewer is recommended instead. I installed the latest version of that as per the instructions and it still seems to work fine.

When setting up the Brava viewer, ensure you follow the steps and tell it to handle .dwg files within Internet Explorer. If you don't then you'll get the Open/Save/Cancel dialog you are seeing.

I've updated my page to include the correct Autodesk URL and a warning that the Autodesk viewer no longer seems to work.

Thank you. This mistake I was making is that I read sloppily and at this step:

I was selecting ti display dwg using the first tab instead of the tab is for IE.
