Can't keep "details" view in a given folder

I have a folder, that is one of my favorites (and listed in Favorites), and I have always viewed that folder in "Details" mode. It now insists on opening in "Thumbnails" mode. I can of course change it to Details mode, but I cannot find the setting which will always open it in Details mode.

I even deleted that folder from my Favorites, and then opened it and changed it to Details. and then resaved it as a favorite. It still would not open in Details mode.

I believe there are setting somehwere that control this, but I can'y locate them now.

I finally found the right window to make the settings in. It is accessed by right clicking in the folder view, and then VIEW>FOLDER OPTIONS. Then choose the "details" view type and then click SAVE. :smiley:

Apparently nothing in Preferences has the ability to handle this.
