I can't get this to work . Pop out toolbar, like on this video on your youtube

You can't float the internal toolbar set (File Display, Menu and Operations). Select one of the other toolbars (e.g. Applications) and the buttons will be available.

some questions regarding docked floatbars I have

  • if I use this for bookmarks, can I bind shortcut keys to it as well (ctrl+1 for first bookmark on left, etc)
  • can i have it ignore WIN+D command nevermind i see, always keep on top
  • could I force this toolbar docked at PC startup

You can have hotkeys on floating toolbars, but they will turn into system-wide hotkeys which work no matter which program is active. If you want Ctrl+1 to always open the folder in any program, then it will do that.

You can configure Opus to launch at startup, and it will re-open floating/docked toolbars if you have saved their state. You can save the state from the Customize dialog:

Or turn on Preferences / Toolbars / Options / Save state of floating Toolbars automatically on exit and the current state will be saved whenever you exit the program.
