Can't see my Synology Diskstation in Directory Opus

Dear sir
I don't know if this is a Directory Opus problem .I can login to the diskstation via web browser and can also map the drive through Directory Opus, but I cant see it under networks. It worked before and I have updated Directory Opus recently and also windows updates.I only found this issue when I tried to backup an image file to diskstation on network using Acronis True Image. I am using Win 7/64 ultimate
Any feedback would be appreciated
Thanks
Bernie

The network folder in Windows has always been unreliable so it's probably just the computer's lanman "browser" service isn't detecting the drive.

If you don't want to map a drive-letter to the drive you could always use the UNC path \server\share to go to it, which should work even if the drive isn't showing up in the network branch of the tree. Opus will also add the drive into that branch if you navigate to it manually.

(Does it show up in the same branch in Explorer, before you have gone to it?)

Synology should be shown in network (folder-tree) as nas-computer. You can hide network-shares in DSM, but not Synology itself. If it is not accessable via UNC like Leo mentioned something got wrong with Synology-Setup.

Thanks for all the feedback
You are probably right as I have updated the Synology DSM server software

Normally an update should not affect the settings, did lot of updates on 2 Diskstations and altough a backup is recommended never had problems.
