Change name case on Exfat volume

Hello,
I've bought a new external hardrive that was formated in ExFAT.
And I found something strange when trying to change case of a filename.
"Test.txt" renaming in "test.txt" --> Nothing happened. No error, nothing.
"Test.txt" renaming in "test0.txt" --> New file is "test0.txt"

It is the same when using the standard explorer file.
I don't have any problem on other NTFS drive.
Do you know if it is a bug on my drive, on Exfat support with Windows, or in Dopus ?

TIA.
(Using Dopus 12.19)

It's an old Windows bug with exFAT drives.

and there is still no workaround with Dopus ? :grin:

I'm pretty sure it's Windows, not DOpus, that internally does the renaming.

My personal workaround in those days was to rename them twice. I would add a character that I didn't want on the first rename then I would "fix" the name getting rid of the unwanted character but also correcting the capitalization. It's stupid, but it's Windows.

What's really strange, that i can do the renaming on an NTFS drive, correcting case and details, but when i move it over to the ExFAT drive, it "magically" reverts to the old names. Seems more than just a bug to me.

:wink:
