Changing folders when using portable version takes seconds

Hello,

when I start Directory Opus from an USB drive changing folders can take seconds. Sometimes it works normally but then after a while it's getting really slow. Sometimes it happens right from the start.

Martin

Does using the "dongle" option when exporting Opus to USB, and then copying the program to a local drive when running it, help?

No this doesn't help. But what I just realized is that when I use the Windows Explorer the browsing between folders is fast, but when I right click inside the folder it takes seconds to open the menu. Could this be related to the problem I'm experiencing?

Yes, that sounds like a shell extension is going wrong, or something else that can slow things down randomly like having a network drive mapped to an unreachable computer.

These two guides have suggestions:

Crash, exit or high CPU usage when viewing certain directories
Crash, exit or high CPU usage when right-clicking certain files

I have disabled the extensions and now I don't experience the waits anymore. Shift-right-click for opening the menu with all entries works fine for me as a workaround.
