Classic Address Bar Highlight Issues

Hello Everyone,

I have a few quick questions about the Classic style address bars in Directory Opus.

1.) In Directory Opus the standard Address Bar is a "breadcrumb" style and if you click on the empty space of the bar it allows you to access the "classic" style text address bar. When it displays the "classic" style address bar the whole field highlights automatically which I prefer, but is there a way to set it when you access this classic bar that you can make the cursor start from the begininng of the address, and start from the end of the address (similar to the settings of the inline renamer where you can choose where to place the cursor)?

2.) In Directory Opus I also see you can drag / add a this "classic" address bar from the customize toolbar list of available tools. When this tool is added and you click inside of the classic address bar field the cursor ends up wherever you click. Similar to my question above, is there a setting somewhere to make this field highlight the entire field automatically when you click in the field? As well as a setting to make the cursor start from the begininng of the address, and a setting to start cursor from the end of the address?

Thank You

It sounds like you want the cursor at the start but the entire line to be selected? That's not possible in a Windows edit control - the cursor is always at the end of any selection.

Thank you very much for your response, yeah that is what I was looking for for the cursor to start from the beginning, I was not aware that it was linked to Windows within Directory Opus. Thought there might have been a setting I overlooked.
Thanks again for your help.

Note that when there is a selection in an edit field, if you press the left-cursor key the cursor will jump immediately to the left extent of the selection.

Thank you again for your response, that is the current method I am using to get there. You threw me off a little with "left-cursor" I know it as "Home", but either way that is what I am using. Thanks again. By the way, your profile pic is pretty cool.

It appears that Home and Left-Cursor (with the left pointing arrow) perform the same function.

Only if the selection extends all the way to the start of the string.
