When I run a full screen screenshot Clipboard SCREENSHOT=all, secure, save I get basically the result I expect when I crop it down to the part I'm interested in...
Note it would be great if File Collections entries and FTP entries could also be blurred in secure screenshot mode.
The awkward thing is that screenshotting the same lister without all I would expect to give me the full window, or maybe the full bounds of the active lister in a dual pane setup (though full window would make a lot more sense to me). Unfortunately, on my system it's really doing neither, as you can see from these screenshots.
Top toolbars are all gone, but bottom toolbar is present
Strange divider line added that wasn't present in the screenshot
Several files that were visible on the lister were truncated
Part of the left tree/toolbar is showing... but only part...
Ideally, I would like the entire window to be the default. Bonus points if you can make that work across applications so that I can delete Greenshot and just use Opus.
Note, how can we customize the filename template used for naming the file? For example, I would like to shorten the names since my filenames are so long that multiple screenshots are completely indistinguishable by redundant truncated name...
Also, since I'm using Opus as my desktop, shouldn't my desktop icon filenames also be blurred when "secure" mode screenshots are chosen?
Thanks for the feedback. Are you using multiple monitors with different DPI settings? I've found a problem in that scenario which gives the results you see (basically, it's grabbing the wrong part of the screen). This will be fixed in the next update.
That's already done in 12.7.3 I think.
We'll add that in the next update.
Unfortunately Opus doesn't replace the desktop, even in Explorer replacement mode the desktop is still provided by Explorer. We just intercept calls to open new browser windows. I'll have a look and see if there's an easy kludge to blur the icon names in the image we capture but it might not be possible.
Basically the screenshot function is for taking screenshots of Opus windows, mainly for uploading to the forum in support requests - saving people having to blur out filenames manually. Any other data on the screen you'll have to assess how sensitive it is and potentially continue to obfuscate manually using Photoshop.
