Collapse individual folders in flat view as one can do in macOS Finder

I want to purchase Opus or really any app on Windows that will finally allow me to open and collapse folders at will (within any folder) so I can look at its contents. I want to migrate completely away from Mac computers but I cringe every time I hop onto Windows because of GUI issues like this.

I've tried One Commander and a slew of other Windows apps over the years and I'm at my wits end. I've finally seen where Opus allows me to open folders in a "flat view" but it's an all or nothing proposition opening every single folder whether I want to or not.

This is how collapsible folders work in macOS Finder where there's much more control and vastly less clutter to comb through. It works the same as Windows explorer except you have the option of quicker access to files. If you want to close all the folders simply select all and option left arrow to close and option-right arrow to open all of them.

Works like this:

I can do this within any open folder in list view. It drives me insane that there's no way to do this in Windows with a third party app or otherwise.

I know I can do this on Mac as well with column view:

But what I want is an option in Windows as shown within the animated gif.

Is there any way to get Opus or any other third party Windows app to do this? If not, is it something you could implement?

I've shown this to Windows users and they've switched to macOS just because of this and I don't blame them. Once you use folders this way on Mac you never want to go back to Windows.

It's something we're thinking about but not currently possible.

However, you can do things like open child folders in the second file display, or into tabs, which may help.
