Color files by name (not file-type)

I'd like to be able to define a suite of name segments (e.g., snippet, OLD, etc. where the asterisks are wildcards) with different coloring formats (just like can already be done with file-types) and then apply this on a folder-by-folder basis or include in a custom-defined format. I'd rather not have to mess with filename extensions in order to achieve this effect since I'm not the only person working in these directories and not everyone else uses Directory Opus (not for a lack of trying on my part! ), much less messing up other people's file-type associations.

In this particular case, I'm working with hundreds and hundreds of files of essentially the same type (text files, HTML files, etc.) but their contents are often encoded as it were in their names & I'd like to be able to spot them readily. I can provide some examples if necessary.

Thank you!

I don't think you can do this as the moment but I know it's being considered for a future version.
