Is there a way to have a combination of both dual and horizontal views? Meaning on my left pain i have 2 displays up and down. And my right pane 2 displays up and down...?
Only by placing two windows beside each other. You can only have 2 folders visible per window (not including folder tabs etc.).

I might be misunderstanding you. Do you mean open a new lister altogether i.e. seperate application instance (for lack of better word)?
Yes. There's only ever one instance, though. A single process opens multiple windows, each of which can have unlimited folder tabs and up to two folders visible (plus up to two trees).
