In "'All files and folders' File Type", Context Menu, I have "Create Shortcut: copy makeshortcut here". However, it does not show up for neither files nor folders. How come, and what is it supposed to do (is it not enough to have "Create Shortcut(s) Here: copy makeshortcut" in the Drop Menu?
"copy makeshortcut here" works okay for me in a context menu.
Are you right-clicking files in the virtual Desktop dir (rather than the real /dekstopdir) or some other place where you'll get context menus built by Explorer instead of Opus?
it looks like "Paste Shortcut" is only active when no file is highlighted. When the liste is in thumbnail-mode and i right click on an empty space i get the "Paste Shortcut" offered. In Detail mode (where there´s always a file highlighted) and do not get this menu entry...
I have a further problem: There´s a menu entry called "Create Shortcut". It looks like it doesn´t do anything.
Using DOpus 9.1 english version on a german Win XP Prof. SP 2
That's because you can paste a shortcut into a folder but you cannot paste a shortcut into a file.
Why is there always a file selected in Details mode? Just click in some empty space, or in any column other than Name, and everything will be deselected.
That menu item creates shortcut(s) to the selected file(s), placing the shortcuts in the Destination window.
If no Destination window exists then you will be prompted for where you want the shortcuts to go. Since you said it seemed to do nothing I suspect you've created some shortcuts by accident in one of the directories you had open at the time in another window.

Oh it means paste "inside"... Then I understand...
When the directory contains more files than there is space to show them in the lister (showing the scrollbar on the side) and you have "Full Row Selection" turner on, there is not "empty space" to click in...

Ohh... I hadn´t think of this... Well let´s see which destination did I have... Oh yes indeed... There they are... Hundreds of shortcuts...
If there's no empty space you can still access the menu by right-clicking the status bar. Comes in handy sometimes!...[/quote]
And that´s another one i didn´t know... Thanks again for this other hint!
