Hello there,
First I want to mention that DOpus make live in Vista so much more comfortable compared to the Windows Explorer, thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
But there is one small thing that bothers me a little bit: I'm quite sensible to context menus. Currently I see the following:
Desktop Context menu
New Lister
Opus Preferences
In Windows Explorer
Disk Context menu
Open in Directory Opus -> Opens in new Lister instance
Explore -> Open in current Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in new Explorer instance
Folder Context menu
Open in Directory Opus -> Opens in new Lister instance
Explore -> Open in current Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in new Explorer instance
In DOpus
Disk Context menu
Open in Directory Opus -> Opens in current Lister instance
Explore -> Opens in new Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in new Lister instance
Folder Context menu
Explore -> Opens in current Lister instance
Open -> Opens in new Explorer instance
Any chance to clean this up a little bit in a next version, like e.g.
Desktop Context menu
New Lister
(I don't like the Preferences menu at all at the Desktop, its an action you don't use often, so I would like to have "New Lister" only on the Desktop)
In Windows Explorer
Disk Context menu
Open in new Lister -> Opens in new Lister instance
Explore -> Open in current Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in new Explorer instance
Folder Context menu
Open in new Lister -> Opens in new Lister instance
Explore -> Open in current Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in new Explorer instance
In DOpus
Disk Context menu
Open in new Lister -> Opens in new Lister instance
Explore -> Opens in new Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in current Lister instance
Folder Context menu
Open in new Lister -> Opens in new Lister instance
Explore -> Opens in new Explorer instance
Open -> Opens in current Lister instance
(Explore sound like Windows Explorer and should trigger an action there, open should just open. Furthermore I like the term "New Lister" much more because it feels more integrated and not like an alien software).
What do you think?
Regards,
Jens
