a tab is placed, when copying to clipboard.
that is definitely okay... so I can paste into Excel.
Basically that works fine. There is one handycap.
it is like this:
shortname > > > size> date-time
long-longname> size> date-time
because of this, the size and modified columns end up in different
columns in Excel.
Actually it wud be nice if there is only 1 tab (>) after each filename.
Right now the tabs are inserted so that the columns line up in a text editor, rather than for pasting into Excel. I think it's a good idea, though.
The ability to print to a CSV file has already been requested. That would make it reasonably easy to get directory listings into Excel but it still means faffing about with extra files and isn't as nice as going straight from clipboard to Excel. Might be worth sending GPSoft a feature request for a tab-separated clipboard option.
