Used to be able to right click on a file on a network drive, and "Copy Link" to quickly copy the file link onto the clipboard... no longer available with right click... is there another way to "Copy Link" ?
Is it there again if you hold Shift when you right-click?
Hello Leo, Not shown on Shift + Right-Click
Thanks for replying so quickly
Thanks for checking that.
Was the Copy Link item one which gets a regular path for the network file (e.g. to copy the path into another program)?
Or was it the type for sharing files in cloud storage with a URL that works from the internet?
For the first type (file-paths), there should be similar commands in the Edit > Copy Other menu of the main window. It should also be easy to restore them to the right-click menus, which I can explain if needed.
For the cloud storage type, how to get the menu item back may depend on which cloud storage type it is, and if the menu is still in File Explorer or missing there as well.
Copy Link was for sharing files in cloud, sharepoint and attached network drive.
Was available in Explorer..
W10 on simple right-click
V11 is more complicated have to check it, not using Windows at this moment... I think it is right-click then share then copy link
