Hi All,
I have had some frustration using DirectoryOpus to copy the contents of a zip file, opened as a folder, to a normal folder.
Normally when I want to 'uncompress' a zip file I create a directory, then click on the zip file as though it were a folder, highlight the files I want, click right-menu and copy, then go to the newly created folder and right-menu then paste.
With the attached zip file, DirectoryOpus doesn't appear to copy all the selected files.
Note - the zip file contains the CakePHP framework - it doesn't contain anything that is directly executable.
If you'd like to try for yourself, open the 'cake_1.0.1.2708.zip' folder, highlight the 'cake_1.0.1.2708' directory, copy, go to another directory, paste. If you get the same behaviour I'm experiencing, you won't see any error messages etc, but when you navigate into the directory structure you'll find that the cake_1.0.1.2708\app subdirectory won't contain all of the subdirectories under 'cake_1.0.1.2708\app' in the zip file.
And yet, extracting using WinZip 9.0 works exactly as expected.
Can anyone tell me if this is fixable, or a known problem etc?
Much warmth,
