Using DO Version 9.1.0.3.2975.x86. When copying from my hard drive to an Insignia Pilot MP3 player I receive the following message:
An error occurred copying NameOfFile.mp3:
The parameter is incorrect. (87)
If I drag and drop the file copies to my mp3 player correctly.
Does the MP3 player appear a proper disk (e.g. that you can access from a Command Prompt), or does it work via custom view ("namespace" or "virtual folder") in Explorer and Opus?
If it's the latter then you probably have to use drag & drop or clipboard copy & paste as the toolbar Copy button may only work with real disks (or things which emulate them).
Forgot to mention I am using XP Pro. When I plug in my player a message appears that an MTP Device is connected. In DO under MY COMPUTER
Name: Type:
Insignia Pilot Player Portable Media Player
However no letter is assigned to player as would occur with my flash drive.
So access through a command window is not available.
I have called this to your attention for a possible future fix if warranted. But please know it is very a minor problem for me. Drag & drop works fine in DO!
As always thanks for the quick response!
A very pleased user,
