Crash after/while closing listers (ID 736)

Crash log ID: 736

  • Filtered my FD with QUICKFILTER="label==""Yellow"""
  • Selected all 31 folders
  • Ran
@nodeselect
Go PATH="{=selitems > 0 ? filepath : source=}" NEWTAB=nofocus TABPOS=last
  • Only one (!) new tab opened
  • The tab only showed the message "Reading..."
  • Waited more than a minute
  • Ran
Close ALLVIEWERS
Close ALLLISTERS
  • After all existing listers were closed, 30 new listers opened, containing one tab each
  • Ran the button again to close all listers
  • Opus crashed

Thanks for that! We've made a change to hopefully prevent the crash.

If you can get the delay to happen again, you could make a manual process dump and email it to crashdump@gpsoft.com.au, so we can try to work out where the hold up is coming from.

Happened today, pretty much the same scenario. I've sent the dumps to crashdumps@gpsoft.com.au.

Again today. I've sent the dumps to crashdumps@gpsoft.com.au.

Thanks, we've made a couple of changes - let us know if it happens again after 13.23.4.

Hasn't happened in awhile, but...

I've sent the dumps to crashdumps@gpsoft.com.au.

Same scenario, just without the crash (stalled tabs opened after other listers were closed).

I've sent the dumps to crashdumps@gpsoft.com.au.

Slight variation this time: filtered, selected, and opened the yellow folders in tabs, but then moved the original tab via

Go CURRENT NEW
Go TABCLOSE

to a new lister. The tab opened fine in the new lister, but the old tab wasn't closed and instead showed the "Reading folders..." message. Tab could easily be closed manually.

I've sent the dumps to crashdumps@gpsoft.com.au.
