Crash with PageCount column (LibreOffice)

I navigate to a folder with pdfs, right click on the columns above the filenames, select other->pagecount and Dopus crashes.
I also have pdf x-change installed as default viewer, but have setup pdf files open in sumatra pdf when i double click on a file inside dopus.

Directory Opus Pro 10.1.0.1 (4605) x64
OS 6.1 (B:7600 P:2 T:1) SP 0.0

Can you work out if it's a specific PDF file that's causing the crash? If so, could you send it to me via a PM?

hm, you're right, it's not a specific pdf. Not only that, there doesn't HAVE to be a pdf on the lister !! I just tried to open a pagecount column on a random folder and it crashes.
Before, something new happened. I would activate the pagecount column, nothing would happen, and then as soon as I would click on a drive button, crash.
Btw, when I said crash I meant the dopus window just vanished. But now I got a real program crash. I m not sure that helps, but here you go:

Just to check, is this the page count column that Opus provides (Documents / Pages) or is it one provided by a shell extension (in which case it would be in the Other category)?

the shell extension one. I just replicated it in my laptop btw. (although they have an identical configuration).
Also, I should note that none of the two columns seems to be showing pagenumbers for my pdfs! for ANY type of pdfs. I think Leo told me once that it's supposed to just show .doc file page numbers.. are there any plans for adding pdf pagenumbering?

If you can work out which shell extension it is that's adding that column we can try and reproduce the crash here.
I'll look and see if adding support for PDF page count is possible.

errr it turns out it was libre office, so it doesn't matter anyway, I don't care about that. I wanted a pdf page counter not a doc one!

many thanks for your excellent support!

Seems like you stumbled onto the same issue I had and posted here:

Crash adding Columns > Other > Keywords

@MrC you're right, it's probably the same one... there is a 'pages' column in explorer, but I don't know which program it belongs to. It didn't seem to vanish when I uninstalled libre.

I installed LibreOffice and found Opus exited/crashed if I added the LibreOffice "Pagecount" column to Opus and then navigated to a directory with a PDF in it.

We'll blacklist the LibreOffice shell extension in the next update as a workaround (as I doubt it'll be fixed it any time soon, from past experience with the project).

If you want to manually block the shell extension before the next update:

[ul][li]Open Settings -> Preferences / Miscellaneous / Advanced.[/li]
[li]Double-click ignore_context_menus.[/li]
[li]Add {C52AF81D-F7A0-4AAB-8E87-F80A60CCD396} (including the braces {...}) to the list and click OK twice.[/li][/ul]

thanks very much for the update! No, I m not bothered by it, I was just poking around hoping to find an updated page column function for pdfs
