It strikes me that sometimes the created date is later than the actual created date.
For example, often, when taking screenshots the date-time is added as a caption, at the bottom of the screenshot. I know when the capture was made.
I have no idea under what circumstances, or what I did, that resulted in a created date later than the actual created date. Maybe the explanation is simple, but I don't know.
below example - part of the screenshot with date-time added as caption.
Also, I guess, I may have many more of such files.
Any suggestions as to how to filter filter such files?
I may add a new column "Created" and compare Modified with Created, which is fine for a few folders, but for many (sub)folders... that would be a workload.
That's up to whatever created the screenshots (and/or anything that has changed the files or dates after they were made).
Opus is just showing you what the dates on the files have been set to.
If you copy a file with some software/configurations, you may find the created date is set to the time of the copy while the modified date is preserved, or possibly set to the time of the copy as well. Opus has options to control if it preserves timestamps when copying but not all software does.
NTFS also does strange things if you delete and replace a file very quickly. Google for "ntfs tunneling" if you want to go down that rabbit hole.
Many thanks indeed. Had to do some searching but discovered that probably on that something happened to my system around the creation date. Probably something with a new Windows install and/or me having issues RAID, based on screenshots taken the day before resulting in many folders being 'set' to 31-05-2015.
Anyway, thanks again!
BTW... is there an easy way to filter all files and/or folders where creation date is 31-05-2015 and modified date is earlier?
