Hi there, just wondering when using the viewer, to crop, it wipes metadata, is there a way to retain or copy the metadata to the new cropped file - (useful for tidying up photos etc.)

It keeps metadata when I try here, at least when I crop (ctrl-r) and then save over the original image (ctrl-s) with a test PNG file.
How are you doing the crop exactly?
Which image format(s)?
Which metadata isn't being preserved?
Using the image viewer, same ctrl+r or the menu, after selecting- save over original image, wipes all metadata (Picture properties) I'm using 11.19, maybe it's version dependent.

Preserving of XMP metadata was new in one of the Opus 12 updates. Preserving EXIF metadata is older, as far as I can tell.
