Customizing Menu

I am attempting to customize a menu by adding the 'help' command.
When I right-click on the menu option, click on commands and select the option on the pop-up, it shows up on the menu. However as soon as I click 'OK' on the popup, the new menu option disappears from the toolbar. I can't get it to 'stick'.

I'm not sure which menus and pop-ups you're referring to there. Could you post a screenshot?

Actually I figured it out. I had to drag the menu option to the left (near 'settings').
