Customizing the color of folder tabs & folder tree header

I'm having trouble finding a way to customize the color of folder tabs (DOpus 9.1.0.1.2947).

In the "Preferences" dialog, under "Colors and Fonts", "Other Colors" there seems to be an option to pick colors for folder tabs, and for the background behind them. The "Background" option itself seems to have an effect; I've been able to set it to the color I like. Also, both the "Selected" and "Unselected" text options respond well enough to color choices made.

On the other hand, neither the "Selected Background" nor "Unselected Background" color options seem to have any effect. The folder tabs remain white (for the selected tab) and light gray (for unselected tabs), regardless of what colors I choose (I do have the "Enable this color" box ticked...).

Is this an issue with the current release of DOpus, or am I doing something wrong?

On a closely related topic, is it at all possible to choose a color for the Folder Tree Header?

In the "get a life" category, can the background color of menu drop-down boxes (which appear when menu items such as "file" or "edit" are clicked) be customized?

In Prefs / Listers / Folder Tabs, check the state of the 'Use Visual Style' option. If this option is on then the visual style will override the tab background color settings.

I think that uses the system-wide window colours which you can change using the Display control panel in Windows.

(This question has come up a bunch of times recently and I'm starting to wonder why so many people want to configure Opus to look completely different to the rest of the apps on their system.)

You can by switching the toolbar style to "Office 2003" and then turn on the "Use custom button highlight colors" option:
