Cut-and-paste from bin fails silently

Hello!

I have found a few times now that cutting a directory from the recycle bin fails silently. On those occasions:

  • I viewed the bin with Opus;
  • I used the keyboard to cut;
  • I proceeded to the actual desktop (not the desktop-shown-in-Opus-or-Explorer);
  • in order to (try to) paste, I used the keyboard again.

In trying just now through to replicate the issue, I failed. So either the bug is intermittent or else when I had the problem there was some sort of user error. Any thoughts, please?

But, ah: the lack of paste seems to occur when, after cutting, one selects something within Opus. Is this behaviour by design? If so, it seems a bit throwing.

Windows 10 Pro - 22H2 (2009: 19045)
Opus 13.15.3 Beta (but I think I had the problem before I installed a beta)

Does the same thing happen in File Explorer?

Copy and paste in Recycle Bin is handled by Windows rather than Opus, as is pasting to the Windows Desktop.

I am afraid that I have trouble now reproducing the problem even within Opus.

I propose to post a further comment here if and only if I can reproduce the problem with Opus and not with Explorer.
