Is there a way to change the display mode to default to "Thumbnails" for folders containing all or mostly File Type Images?

If not, is there a setting that preserves the file display (Thumbnails v Details) between sub-folders in a folder.? I have many thousands of photos stored in a hierarchical directory structure, and it is most annoying to have to reset the display to Thumbnails when going from one folder to another when the display mode reverts to Details every time.
Content Types let you do that:
Thanks, Leo, that certainly does the trick but only for my physically connected drives. My photos are stored on a NAS, on drives which are Mapped to my PC. In Folder Formats, I have now checked ALL boxes under Folder Type Formats but no luck. Any ideas?
It should work with those unless you have another format matching the same drive. Which might be one of the Automatic Formats in Preferences, for example.
Found it. I had an overriding Path Format - removed that and all is roses. Thanks again, Viv
