Delete command for custom toolbar

Bug Report....

When making a custom toolbar I drag the file icon/command for "delete" and place it.
So far so good

When using the "Delete" command a dialog box opens indicating the file is being "sent to the recycle bin"

In reality is should be Deleting the file....not recycling it.

That is not a bug. That is what the Delete command does by default and with your configuration.

See Preferences / File Operations / Deleting Files / Delete to Recycle Bin where possible (supports undo).

See also the Delete command's arguments such as NORECYCLE.

I reviewed your response.
After going thru the preferences I find the NORECYCLE option to have a global effect on all delete options, including the Recycle Bin

With Opus 11 the Delete button/icon had NORECYCLE function by default
With Opus 12 the Delete button/icon has Recycle Bin function by default

I prefer the Opus 11 version

How do I get the Opus 11 version functions into Opus 12?

Thank You

The NORECYCLE argument only affects the command it is added to.

The Preferences setting I mentioned affects all Delete commands (unless they explicitly specify that the recycle bin should ot should not be used).

Change the Preferences setting if you want to change the default bevahior of the "delete" command with no extra arguments.

None of this changed in Opus 12. (None of it has changed in about 15 years.)
