Delete/Copy process window always pops up in the top/left corner

I don't know exactly when this started. But it's been a while..

When I copy or delete files the confirmation and popup window always is located in the top/left of my desktop. Since I have a triple screen setup, this is annoying. Is there any way to fix this?? Like it centered or remember it's location if I drag it?

Thanks!

Is the full progress dialog appearing, just in the wrong place, or just a single-line button like on a taskbar?

Do you have software installed which changes where windows appear? e.g. "Multi-monitor" software?

Yes, the full process dialog, with the green total progress bar and the single file progress bar. Also the confirmation popup appears in the top left corner.

I do have Display Fusion installed that might have something to do with it.. I will take a look at it's settings. It has hundreds!!

I found an option under 'Windows Management' that is called 'Center child windows over the parent window'. It was unchecked. So, I checked it and tested it and it had no effect on these DO popup windows. I tested it a few times.

I would try uninstalling DF and rebooting to test if it's that, since it can get involved in that type of thing. Quicker than testing every option it has.

Any other similar tools installer, or autohotkey scripts, etc.?

Opus generally asks for its progress dialogs to center over the window which opens them.

Ok, thanks. I'll try that. So, there's not a setting in DO that let's us pick to do that? It's just built-in to normally popup on parent windows?

No Autohotkey or other tools, but I'll look around. My Windows 10 install is pretty old. Like when it came out.

No setting on our side that would change that, no. We always ask for the progress dialogs to be centered over their parent windows.

Do you know about Startdock Fences? I noticed today that my Folder Portals(Fences) were opening up folders in an Explorer window. Normally they would open within the Desktop Fence. I found the solution to that was to uncheck the 'Launch Folder Windows in a Separate Process' in the File Explorer Options. So, I unchecked that and it fixed it. And that makes sense I think because it would not be associated with the fence as it's parent if in a different process?

I remember checking that option a few days ago. So, I thought it made sense that it was also the cause of the DO popups not popping up over their parent window? But it didn't fix those. They still popup in the top/left corner of the desktop. Even after a reboot.

So, I was wondering if DO had it's own 'Launch windows in a Separate Process' option???

No, there's nothing like that.

I don't know much about Fences but maybe it can change where windows open? I am not sure. I thought it was about changing where icons appear on the desktop, but I have not ever used it personally.

Yea, it only makes separate areas on the desktop to categorise your icons. It doesn't have anything to do with where windows pop up. It has an option called 'Allow Navigation' on each fence to either allow you to drill down into folders, or to open them in a normal explorer. Hmm... I'll figure this out sometime.
