Deleting a Folder in the Folder Tree pane

Is there a setting to prevent Opus from selecting the root of a deleted folder in the tree pane. If not I'd like to request it as an option. I have another file manager and if I delete a folder from the tree pane it selects the folder above the deleted folder. Which is really handy if I'm cleaning up (deleting) some folders, right now I have to remember an adjacent folder and type in the initial letters to get back to where I was.

Thanks

George

Are you using an old version?

Directory Opus Pro 11.1.5177 x64
OS 6.1 (B:7601 P:2 T:1) SP 1.0 "Service Pack 1"

FWIW The file list behaves the way I want.

I thought so. We changed that a while ago, so if you install the latest version you should find it works how you want.

Thanks -

Downloaded and installed 11.5 it still has the same behavior.

Did you reboot after installing the update?

How are you performing the folder deletion? e.g. via Toolbar, hotkey, right-click menu...?

Rebooted but no luck.
I select the folder with the mouse and press the delete key. Its getting late for me but I'll try uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller and install from scratch.

Thanks

George

Please don't use Revo Uninstaller on Opus. It won't help anything here and can only cause problems (at worst) or do exactly what the proper uninstaller does (at best).

If the Help > About window shows the correct version then it has been installed correctly.

I've reinstalled here's the version info:
Directory Opus Pro 11.5 Build 5298 x64
OS 6.1 (B:7601 P:2 T:1) SP 1.0 "Service Pack 1"

Unfortunately the delete folder behavior has not changed. I'll have to try writing a script to deal with this.

I have a working script but I'm not entirely satisfied with it. So my question is, is this problem supposed to have been solved with v11.5 or was it fixed in a later (beta) version?

Please try turning on Preferences / File Operations / Deleting Files / Automatically select next file after deleting. That seems to be the key for me.

Yeah! Thanks for sticking with me.
