Desktop v /desktopdir

Hi,

I have a problem! My apologies if this has been mentioned before.

When I go to the "Desktop" folder I can see all my virtual folders such as "my documents", "My Computer" etc plus any other files that may be on the desktop.

When I go to "/desktopdir" it doesn't display the virtual folders, only the files.

Can I change the behaviour so that I can see the "virtual folders" in /desktopdir...?

Thanks

Roly

/desktopdir is, by definition, the real directory that contains your desktop files.

If you want to see the virtual folder then go to /desktop instead.

And this is just a Windows OS thing... not specific to Opus.

Ideally I do want to see the virtual folders but also to retain the functionality of /desktopdir such as "auto-size columns". I guess there's no way of doing this then.

Not at the moment, no. Virtual folders are displayed via Explorer so you don't get many of the extra Opus features in them.

Oh well, thanks guys.

I solved this problem for myself by a simple trick, may be useful for you too.
Make a shortcut of your virtual dirs on your desktop. Now, you will have access to your virtual dirs under /desktopdir.
