Device alias?

Hi,

Is it possible to use device alias?

So instead of calling a device by its drive letter, we're calling it by an identifier. It will mean that even if its drive letter change, it's keep being reachable by its identifier.

Yes, althought you call it by his label (if it has one) by preceding it with a dollar sign.
ex. Drive g: with label MyLabel, you use {alias|$MyLabel} or $MyLabel.

So for drive aliases, you actually don't need to create them (you can't), simply use them like that: /$MyDrivesLabel

While playing around, I had the idea to paste a volume-id into DO and I expected it to fail, but it worked, what awesomeness.
So fred, this might also be of interest to you, you can rely entirely on volume ids if you wish, then there's even no dependency to the drive label.
