As a recent migrator from Xplorer2, I am constantly hitting the wrong pane or action in DO in dual pane display. This, I feel is mainly becuase, in X2, you can display background colour of the ACTIVE pane in a totally different colour and effect to the non - active pane. This really helps if you call up the file manager in a hurry to carry out some quick tasks.
Can this be done in DO? If NOT, is there a way to change the colour of the active pane header( the very neutral green or pinky hue) to something much more striking? ( example emerald and day-glo orange)
You can change the header colours. Go to Preferences - Display - Colors & Fonts, open the Other Colors branch and then edit Destination border, Source border and Off Lister border.
You may also want to turn on Prefrences - Display - Options: Fade selected item colors when file display does not have focus and set it to a low opacity value. I find that makes it very obvious which display will be operated on when I'm about to push a button.
