Dir opus doesn't open listers in the foreground

In Preference/Launching Opus/From the Desktop I have "Bring the last active lister to the front (new default lister if no listers are open) checked.

If I have open listers buried on the desktop and I double-click the desktop only the taskbar comes to the foreground.

If I have no open listers then one is created in the background and the taskbar comes to the foreground.

I read another topic that said this could be fixed by a de-install and re-install. I did that and it worked properly for only two days...

Pls fix this!

Sorry to forget:

I am running win7, fully updated.

What do you mean by "taskbar comes to the foreground?" The taskbar button for the window becomes highlighted, or something else?

AFAIK the Win7 taskbar is always on top, but the auto-hide option is still there. Is that what you mean?

Do you have a link to the other thread that said to try reinstalling?

I autohide my taskbar. When I double-click the desktop background a dopus window is created, at the bottom of the window pile and my "autohiding taskbar' pops up with the dopus tab highlighted. The new lister stays at the bottom of the pile.

For years, I've double-clicked the background and got a new lister on top of the window heap. This ease of use was a major attraction when I first evaluated the product.

...

No I couldn't find it again, I tried to find it when I originally posted...

Do you happen to have the Update Default Lister automatically when closing a Lister option enabled? And do you launch the "Default Lister" in your various "Launching Opus" preferences...?

I do not have "Update Default..." enabled. And I do launch the default lister.

I started having the same problem using Vista Ult x64. No one was able to solve this problem. Very frustrating. I have purchased Macro Express and am trying to figure out a way to get it to bring Opus into focus but I have had no constistan luck.

Is there an argument that I can put after the dopus64.exe that will open a particular lister?

You should run dopus.exe or dopusrt.exe, not dopus64.exe (which is a helper program).

If you want to open a layout called My Layout, the command-line is:

"C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopusrt.exe" /CMD Prefs Layout="My Layout"

Perfect !!!
Thanks so much, Leo
