Directory Opus and Dragon

Hi there,

I currently use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to both dictate and also control much of what I do on my PC. I use Directory Opus everyday and it is by far my most used program. One of the commands within Dragon is "Switch To" followed by the name of the programme. This allows you to switch into any open programme, just like alt-tab does. The issue I am facing when I try and use Dragon to switch focus to Directory Opus is that Directory Opus's 'tag title/handle' (as it were) is the name of the current folder that Directory Opus is looking at.

E.g. If for example I have Directory Opus looking at a directory "My Pictures" and I am in Google Chrome and I want to switch back to Directory Opus, I say "Switch To My Pictures" and it will instantly swap to directory Opus. If I have Directory Opus open looking at a directory called "New York City" I can switch back to directory Opus from any other program I may be in at the time by just asking Dragon to "Switch To New York City". Works just peachy, however obviously you can never remember the directory that Directory Opus was actually in to enable Dragon to find it and switch to it.

Is there any way to force Directory Opus to remain 'Directory Opus' for all intents and purposes of alt-tabbing?

Apologies for the long question (and also the no doubt awful way I've tried to describe the issue!) but any pointers/help would be really most appreciated. Cheers.

Yes, you can modify the lister window title under Preferences / Display / Options.

There are several codes you can include in the title to insert things like the current folder name or path.

Setting the custom title option to %N - Directory Opus would keep the current folder name and add " - Directory Opus" on the end, which I'm guessing will work with Dragon's switch-to feature, while still allowing you to see which folder you're in by looking there. Of course, you could also set it to just Directory Opus on its own as well. (The folder name is visible in the location field so it is a bit redundant, I guess.)

Wow, many thanks Leo! That was quick!

And it works just perfectly! Many thanks again!
