Directory Opus double click on the desktop

Directory Opus double-clicking on the desktop does not work for me.
After installing Directory Opus, double-clicking on the desktop does not work for me, it does not start Directory Opus.
In the settings I have:

The task manager also has:

To work, I have to do this:

  1. Close the Directory Opus program, remove it in the tray too, remove it in the task manager.
  2. Run unregister.cmd - click OK
  3. Run register.cmd - click OK
  4. Check now, close Directory Opus
  5. Check now, Double-click on the desktop works.

Here is the composition of unregister.cmd:

RegSvr32.exe /u "C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopushlp.dll"
pause

Here is the composition of register.cmd:

RegSvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopushlp.dll"
pause

My system is Windows 7 32bit
Why is it necessary to do so that double-clicking on the desktop works?
Why, after installing Directory, Opus does not want to double-click on the desktop?

You may have something else hooking mouse events on the desktop which isn't forwarding the events to other hooks properly.

Or something is trashing your registry settings (e.g. a "registry cleaner").

Clear.
I wrote this, I thought maybe someone else has such a problem.
If this is my only problem, then I will have to look.
And if the registry is damaged, as you write, then reinstalling Directory Opus will not help? Only reinstall the system?

Reinstalling Opus will fix the registry entries but if you have something that keeps breaking them again then it'd only fix things temporarily.

We don't recommend using registry cleaners as they're more likely to break something than improve anything.

Antivirus can also probably interfere?

That's possible, although I'd expect it to always block the double-click from working if it was something doing it on purpose.

I myself did nothing, did not block it in the antivirus.
Maybe he blocks automatically.
I will look, look for the reason then.
Other users do not have such a problem, everyone probably has a double click.
