Disable copy - ctrl-left mouse click

Vainly tried to find a solution on Internet.
The below may be a very long shot and not possible at all...

It is a regular occurrance that I control-left-mouse-click select files.
Guess that I am clicking slightly too fast, so often I accidentally COPY all the files.
Have to pay attention to it that it won't happen.
They should be deleted afterward (details mode, sort on filenames, delete, or maybe ctrl-z)

I use ctrl-c/v to copy.

Is there any setting that prevents this ctrl-left mouseclick copy action from happening?

Select Settings -> File Types -> All files and folders -> Events -> Drag-and-drop + Ctrl, then click Delete
