Display Colour Problem

I have recently been forced (by disc failure on my main machine) to start using a spare laptop onto which I have installed DO and restored my configuration from a previous backup.

The problem I am experiencing is with the colour display of information in the file window. The problem ONLY occurs in 'Details' mode when viewing 'Computer' - it is not evident when selecting a drive or directory or when using any other mode. The 'Name' column is fine, but all other columns display black on black when unselected, but correctly when the drive is selected.

I have been through the colour configuration, but cannot find the entry for this particular setting. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

All the pertinent colour settings are in Preferences under Display / Colors & Fonts / File and Folder Colors.

I know they are .. and I've been through all the items in that section. I just can't find which one controls this particular aspect

Turn off Preferences -> Display -> Options: Enable background images in virtual folders. Does that fix it?
