Display of localized folders in OS language

In a file manager folder names are displayed in 1st. Folder tree, 2nd. Folder display, 3rd. Border.

I moved four localized folders from drive C: to D: D:\Documents, D:\Music, D:\Pictures and D:\Videos. The folders on drive D: aren't displayed any more in my OS language but in English. I don't know why because I didn't delete the "desktop.ini" File. On the border all of my localized folders are displayed in English. I made a try and tested several file managers and many don't show localized folders in the language of the OS (Folder tree, Folder display, Border):

01 DOpus: Y, Only C, N

02 Windows File Explorer: Y, Y, Y

03 SpeedCommander: Y, Y, Y

04 EF Commander (20.07 x64): N, N, N

05 FreeCommander XE 2020 (Build 810a x32): Y, N, N

11 Q-Dir (8.55 x64): Y, Y, N

12 Idoswin Pro (5.7 build 744 x32): N, N, N

13 Altap Salamander (4.0 x64): ?, N, N

14 FileVoyager (20.1.20.0 x32 Embarcadero Delphi): Y, Y, Y

15 Explorer++ (1.3.5.531 x64): Y, Y, N

16 Saladin (1.0 x64): ?, N, N

17 NexusFile (5.3.3.5532 x32): Y, N, N

18 muCommander (0.9.5 x32 Java): N, N, N

19 Ant Commander (3.2 x32 Java): N, N, N

20 Twofold Commander (1.0.1.40312 x32): ?, Y, Y

21 SE-Explorer (1.31.1.610 x32 .NET Framework): ?, N, N

22 UltraExplorer (2.0.3.1 x32): Y, Y, Y

23 Unreal Commander (3.57 x64): ?, N, Y

Thanks for reporting this. It's something that changed in 12.21, and we have an improvement to how it works on the way for the next beta (12.21.2).

Thanks for the fix in drive D:. I hope you can fix it for the file display toolbar, too.

Is it only showing the path in English when the file display border has focus and you're editing the path?

I think that's intended behavior, since it makes sense to show the real path while it's being edited.

But it should show the localized path when the file display border is inactive and showing the breadcrumbs.

(I'm assuming you're using the default file display toolbar with the breadcrumbs path field. Other modes may be different, and are legacy things at this point.)

When I'm editing the path (Breadcrumbs path), it is showing the path in English, right, it makes sense (same as in Explorer).
But when it's inactive it shows it still in English.

I see what you mean now. (Took a while to find a folder that has localized names in English. Makes it quite hard to check!)

We'll have that fixed in the next update. Thanks for bringing it up!

To close the chapter of localized folders and just for your information. There is one issue which remained (if I didn't overlook something else):

In Windows File Explorer it looks:

As you can see Microsoft bungles sometimes with the localized names (ODBC Data Sources)

Here is the "desktop.ini" of the "Administrative Tools Folder:

I only see this issue when I use in DOpus the Start menu (Function: Go PATH /start|/commonstartmenu FOLDERCONTENT=nomenusel, usershell).
