Display thumbnails like in File Explorer?

I want to use DO v13.8 to sort photographs.

I am not finding it useful for this.

Windows explorer can be set to simultaneously view thumbnails of every photo file in a folder including RAW files.

I can't do this with DO 13.8. I can only display a thumbnail for a selected file. If I select multiple files nothing is displayed in the viewing pane.

To use DO to sort photos, I need to see the thumbnails of all of the photos in a folder. This lets me select a set of photos and then drag them to another folder which is being displayed in a 2nd DO window.

It would be a very helpful feature to me and maybe others if it could if I could configure a folder in a DO window to display thumbnails of all photo files in it. I would still keep the viewing pane because it lets me easily enlarge a thumbnail which Windows Explorer can't do. It can only cause a thumbnail to be opened by another app like Photoshop.

Opus has a thumbnails view just like Explorer does.

Use the highlighted toolbar button shown here:

Or select it from the View dropdown menu:

I have a set of buttons on one of my toolbars that makes it easy to switch between different thumbnail views which you might find useful (where T&D is the combined thumbnail and details view). It also shows the thumbnail size slider when in thumbnail mode:

(I think they might be the same buttons shown in Jon's screenshots though)

Here's a Directory Opus toolbar file you can download and just double click to automatically add all the buttons at once for yourself:
Thumbnail_Toggles.dop (2.0 KB)

Then you can just go into the customize view (by right clicking any toolbar and hitting 'Customize') and drag the buttons to an existing toolbar if you want, copy and paste them to a different toolbar, or keep it as its own toolbar.
