OK not sure what happened but I needed to reinstall DO. After the install I corrected the position and size to my liking and then saved it as the default lister. The next time I opened up DO it was back at the old size again. I tried to resave it as the default lister again and hoped that something different would happen but as computers often do I got the same result.
I guess I'm thinking that it's not using the defaults I saved but instead picking up defaults from somewhere else or not reading the defaults at all and just defaulting to the initial program values? The only thing I change about the DO install is that I create junction from C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\GPSoftware\ to E:[username]\Offline Software\GPSoftware\ so that I don't have to restore my settings on a system drive problem or remember to backup them up regularly.
I know there's also a folder under C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local as well but I haven't found any reason to relocate that one.
I actually edited the file while I saved the default and my editor asked if I wanted to update with the new data and of course I did but the line didn't change only the an updated modified time on the file.
I manually changed it from 961 to 1010 and now it seems to display properly but the line also added a "-32000,-32000" that wasn't there.
When I re-sized the window down to 676 and saved the default it worked fine. But when I attempted to re-size it back up to the top of the task bar and saved the default the timestamp updated but the line stayed at 676. But I also noted that the beginning of the line is changed it dropped the "-32000,-32000".
I figured it out. Somehow it's related to having the Bing Search bar being open as it's own toolbar above the taskbar. I was actually trying to expand DO to the top of the Bing toolbar without success. I had forgot the Bing Search was even in between the taskbar and DO because it's so minimal especially on the right side of the screen it's invisible. I turned of the Bing Bar and it seems to have fixed DO. Except now I can't figure out how I ever got the Bing bar to sit on top of my taskbar. It wasn't till I realized that MS Office was also having similar problems to DO that caused me to think of this as a windows issue rather than a DO issue and then I remembered another program that was giving me issues with Bing.
