DO (very) slow to open when Citrix Workspace App is running

So this is not about getting DO to run within a Citrix session.

I am noticing when I have remote Citrix connection open on my Windows 10 system through Citrix Workspace App, Directory Opus is slow to open, and sometime extremely slow. Like it can take 30 seconds for a window to appear. As soon as I disconnect the Citrix session, DO responds normally again.

I guess DO tries to index files from the Citrix environment somehow (which it can't do anyhow). What can I do to fix this? In the Citrix settings I have already set File Access Settings to No Access. But that doesn't help much.

Opus doesn't know anything about Citrix and doesn't index files anywhere, let alone through a Citrix connection. If Citrix adds drives or network paths to the system, and you have those paths referenced in some way (e.g. in Favorites, folder tabs, icons loaded from them) it could explain some slowness. It might be worth doing a config backup and then reset your configuration to defaults to see if it makes a difference.

Bumping this thread because it really is an issue still. When I have a Citrix window open (remote connection to my office), and I then try to open Directory Opus on my local pc, DO simply does nothing for at least a full minute, if not longer. Then it will open the explorer windows. It looks like there is something that is putting the process on hold or something.

I do not have any Citrix network connections or any other references to this environment on my local computer that I am aware of. Resetting I have already done since I recently reinstalled Windows and I'm on a completely new system. And it still does this. Oh and the native Windows file explorer does not have this issue at all, it opens immediately.

Is there anything we can do to further investigate this? Could it be a setting somewhere that I need to uncheck? Running Windows 10 (with extended support) latest version, and DO 13.19.

If you make some process snapshots during the long delay, we should be able to use those to see what it's waiting on.

Thanks for sending the snapshots. Directory Opus 13.20.3 (Beta) has a change which we hope will help.
